Located in the up-and-coming Altstetten area of Zurich, Flurpark is a completely renewed free-standing office building with over 16,000 sqm (176,000 sq ft) of office space. The five-story building is characterised by a cubic structure with recessed areas in form of terraces. Another special feature are the stepped recesses over the entire building height.
Scope of Work
8,500 sqm (91,500 sq ft) of façade. 7,800 sqm (84,000 sq ft )were executed as Closed Cavity Façade (CCF) and approx. 700 sqm (7,500 sq ft) as mullion-transom façade. The total number of 780 CCF elements is divided in 121 starter elements, 585 standard elements, 13 inner and 60 outer corners. The CCF for Flurpark is glazed as follows: internal triple insulated glass with double low-e coating, external laminated VSG glass as impact pane with full-surface screenprint-ing in area of the sunshade device. The closed cavity of the façade houses 2.68 m wide Venetian blinds with perforated louvres.
