About us
Our façades made of aluminum, steel, and glass shape the skyline of metropolises all over the world. Gartner was founded in 1868 in Gundelfingen an der Donau in Germany and grew to become a premium brand in the façade construction market. In 2001, the then family-owned company became a member of the Permasteelisa Group, the global leader in curtain wall and advanced façade technologies. Today, we employ 1,000 people in Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.

As a façade specialist, Gartner creates engineering solutions in aluminum, steel and glass, helping the world’s best architects and aspiring builders realize their ambitious ideas.

Production facilities

Our production site in Gundelfingen comprises its own steel and aluminum production spread across 220,000 sqm (over 2 million sq ft). The aluminum production is organized in three assembly lines with seven CNC-machining centers for profile processing and manual assembly. Special clean areas including glass washing machines ensure highest quality standards for the technically most sophisticated façades. The steel façade production plant manufactures filigree steel-structures for glass roofs or hybrid solutions using aluminum and steel for canopies or skylights.

The company’s own testing site covering approx. 6,000 sqm (64,500 sq ft) of outdoor space and eight test rigs – allows Gartner to perform all of the key façade tests in-house, and to carry out important research and development work.
