November 2021 - The Permasteelisa Group was actively involved in the Council on Tall Building and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) 2021 International Conference, which focused on the challenges facing our cities through the central theme, “The Future City: Addressing Carbon, Climate & Societal Crises”.
The Group was a Gold Sponsor of the two-day London chapter of this in-person conference, taking place across many locations over the course of the week from 8 to 12 November 2021.
The regional event in London was hosted on 11 and 12 November at 22 Bishopsgate, the tallest skyscraper in the City of London and the tallest skyscraper worldwide that features a particularly sustainable closed cavity façade by Gartner, one of the brands of the Permasteelisa Group. The delegates gathered on the 55th floor discussed the local response needed for challenging global problems facing the urban realm, including addressing carbon footprint, the changing climate, social justice, and human health.
Besides being Gold Sponsor of the Conference, the Permasteelisa Group hosted a Panel Discussion on Building the City's Tallest, 22 Bishopsgate, where our Group CEO Mr. Klaus Lother shared with the audience how our advanced façade solutions can play a paramount role in delivering the most sustainable buildings.
Working together since the very early stages of the projects allows the adoption of the technical solutions that best fit the common goals, providing more sustainable and comfortable buildings. Designing flexible and adaptable façades that can be easily maintained and upgraded is the key when thinking about the façades of the future.
