The Pathé Capucines, a historic theater complex nestled in the heart of Paris, has been revitalized through a stunning renovation. We were honored to contribute to this project, which seamlessly blends the building's rich past with a striking contemporary design by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. The redesigned façade, with its restored original order, now offers a glimpse into the vibrant "La Piazza" atrium, a light-filled space featuring a magnificent glass cone designed, engineered and produced by Gartner. This project exemplifies the power of architectural transformation to create a space that is both timeless and modern.

The project involved extensive heritage conservation work, including the restoration of the historic façades and the Rotunda. Notable achievements include an advanced architectural design and the installation of a glass roof in the shape of an inverted pyramid, which demonstrates considerable technical expertise.
Our team's expertise in glass and steel construction was instrumental in realizing this complex design. The 29-meter-high atrium features a 1,200 square meter interior façade composed of a sophisticated system of mullions, transoms, and a secondary steel support structure.
We carefully engineered each element to ensure both structural integrity and visual lightness. The use of double-curved conical glass panes, laminated for maximum strength and insulation, further demonstrates our commitment to pushing the boundaries of architectural design.
